Intra-District Volleyball Tournament Kicks Off at GDC Samba

Jammu, Feb 19: Two Day Intra-District Volleyball Tournament was organised at SPPND GDC Samba. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the College as Chief Guest. The welcome address was given by Dr. Pankaj Bandhoria, Convener, Sports Board, GDC Samba.
The participating colleges included GDC Samba, GDC Vijaypur, GDC Ramgarh and GDC Ghagwal. The Tournament commenced with an exciting match between GDC Samba and GDC Ghagwal followed by second match between GDC Vijaypur and GDC Ramgarh. The matches ended with a decisive 2-0 victory for GDC Samba and GDC Ramgarh. The Principal congratulated the winning teams for their exceptional performance and exhorted that the sports tourney is an initiative to encourage teamwork, discipline and a self-confidence thereby channelizing the energy of our young students towards fostering physical fitness and mental well-being. Assoc. Prof. Narayan Dutt, HOD Physics and Dr. Banpreet Kour, IQAC Coordinator were also present on the occasion. The whole event was coordinated by Prof. Meenakshi Thakur, Co-Convener Sports Board and Pradeep.
