Inter-Zonal District Level National Youth Festival-2024 held at GHSS Boys Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Oct 19: The Department of Youth Services & Sports Kishtwar organized the much-anticipated Inter-Zonal District Level National Youth Festival-2024 at the prestigious Higher Secondary School Boys Kishtwar. The event brought together young talents from across the district to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage and showcase their creative abilities through a series of competitions.
The festival was graced by the school Principal Ashok Kumar as the Chief Guest.
Ashok Kumar expressed deep appreciation for the participating students and the dedicated coaches who worked tirelessly to prepare them. He emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing the creative and intellectual skills of youth, highlighting the pivotal role these play in shaping future leaders.
The festival featured a diverse array of cultural and artistic events, including Group Folk Dance through Vibrant performances that celebrated traditional music and dance forms from various regions of India.
During the Painting Competitions the Students showcased their artistic talent, capturing themes that reflected culture, social issues, and nature.
A Solo Folk Dance was conducted showcasing a mesmerizing display of individual talents, where participants danced to traditional rhythms.
Besides, in the Solo Folk Singing, Melodious performances where students sang traditional folk songs, filling the venue with the spirit of cultural pride.
Meanwhile in Debate Competitions and Poster Making Participants demonstrated their creativity in visual arts by crafting posters that conveyed meaningful messages.
The festival was a platform not only for competition but also for fostering unity and cultural exchange among the youth. The day ended with words of encouragement from the Chief Guest who acknowledged the hard work of the DYSS Kishtwar team and the invaluable contribution of the coaches who prepared the participants.
The Department of Youth Services & Sports, under the supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kishtwar, Jaffer Haider Sheikh, continues its mission of promoting youth engagement through sports and cultural events, ensuring that the spirit of national pride and cultural unity remains strong in the hearts of Kishtwar’s youth.
