JAMMU, Oct 30: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, visited Jammu and forward locations on Wednesday to assess the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) operational preparedness amid recent security challenges. His visit follows a series of terror attacks targeting the Army, most recently in Akhnoor, highlighting the region’s heightened security concerns.
During his visit, the Air Chief Marshal reviewed the operational readiness of IAF units stationed in forward areas and interacted with air warriors and Agniveers deployed there. Addressing the troops, he underscored the importance of maintaining constant vigilance and urged them to remain fully prepared to safeguard national security.
Commending the air warriors for their dedication and commitment, AP Singh emphasized the significance of their role during this period of intensified cross-border threats. He also highlighted the importance of staying motivated as they continue their duties on the frontlines, particularly during the festival season.
The Air Chief’s visit, regarded as strategically crucial, reflects the IAF’s commitment to the welfare and morale of its personnel, as well as its readiness to respond to escalating security challenges in Jammu.
