Grand warriors academy excels in 23rd district Sqay Championship, bags 7 medals

Srinagar, Sep 26: Seven students from the Grand Warriors Academy Srinagar have won seven medals in the district SQAY championship held at the indoor sports stadium Polo view on Saturday.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, general secretary ‘Grand Warriors Academy’ Adil Hussian said, they are trying to involve youth in sports activities as drugs among the youth are rapidly increasing throughout the valley.
“Three students of our academy are going for trails to take part in the national championship scheduled to be held in Kashmir by the end of this year,” he said. He added that 30 states are expected to participate in senior men and women nationals.
“Those students who will be sent for national trials are Shahid Hilal, Naveed Mukhtar, and Mohadis Altaf,” he said. He added that the Grand Warriors Academy is working in collaboration with L. P. School.
“We want every student of our locality to play from grass root level to international championships,” he said.
