Glowing tribute paid to Gh Nabi Gowhar on his 7th death anniversary

Chrari Sharif, June 21 :- Glowing tribute were paid to legendary writer, jurist and novelist late  Gh Nabi Gowhar on his 7th death anniversary ,at an impressive literary function organised jointly by  Kashmir Markaz Adab w Saqafat chrari sharief ,  Gowhar Memorial Trust , and Jammu and kashmir academy of art ,culture and languages on saturday at Government Model Degree college , chrari sarief.

Noted writer Prof Mohd Zaman Azurda was chief guest and Spl. secy Inf.Technology Dr Hafeez Masoodi was guest of honour.

Prof Farooq Fayaz , , President Markazi Adab kamraz , Mohd Amin Bhat,
Dr Arshid Hussain , Principal Govt: Model Degree college , chrarari -sharief , Jt. Director education Kashmir Syed Shabir and Chairperson Gowhar Memorial Trust ,Begum Haseena Gowhar shared the presidium.
On this occasion , this year’s Gowhar Memorial Award  was conferred on veteran writer and secy.KashmirMarkaz Ada-w- saqafat Inayat Gul and the popular teacher and ace write Shabir Qureshi Ibne Shahbaz  was honoured with Khilati shiekhul Alam award .
The esteemed guests were also presented mementos as a mark of respect and honour.

Prof. Mohd Zaman Azurda while paying tribute to late Gohar said that his literary works are the social and political reflection of kashmiri history and culture.

Abdul Hafeez Masoodi and Prof.Farooq Fayaz while paying  glowing tribute to late Gh Nabi Gowhar maintained that Gowhar was a multitalented personality who has immensely contributed to Kashmiri culture and  literature.

 

Writers and poet Mushtaq Mehram and Yunis Waheed presented exhaustive papers on the lifashu and contribution of Gh Nabi Gowhar to Kashmiri culture and literature. They urged the need for an in-depth study of the literary works of late Gh Nabi Gowhar.

Rich tributes were also paid to the life time colleagues of Late Gowhar including writer, poet and Shiekh ul alam shinas late Assad ullah Afaqi and his uncle , poet Molvi Jalal- ud – Din Waiz.
Director Life school foundation Nazrul Islam presented a welcome address.
Batool Gowhar ,and Zeenat Gowhar( both daughters of Gowhar sb.) ,Ali Ahsan ,Gh Nabi Adfar  Manzoor Ahmad Jalali and a large number of students , poets and teaching faculty were also present at the function.
Famous singer of Kashmir, Manzoor Ahmad shah ppresented musical programme on behalf of Jammu and Kashmir cultural academy.
