GHSS Khanyar hosts Ist Pelota Vasca sports seminar

Srinagar, June 04: Pelota Vasca Federation of India in collaboration with GHSS Khanyar organised first of its kind seminar on newly introduced Sport in India namely Pelota Vasca which was inaugurated by Principal of the GHSS Khanyar Mrs. Sheikh Waheeda.
In the Orientation / Seminar 105 students participates. The students were trained by two International Coaches from Spain and Argentina. The players were seen enthusiastic in learning this newly Sport in India. Principal of the school thanked the organisers for choosing GHSS Khanyar for such an elite programme.
Latter President of the Pelota Vasca Federation thanks the school management for providing support in all respects.
Mega Ayush Yoga Camp held at Govt College of Education Jammu
Jammu, June 04: Directorate of AYUSH, on the directions of Director Dr. Mohan Singh and supervision of DAO Dr. Vandana Dogra, organized a Mega Yoga Camp on “Yoga For Women Empowerment “here at Government College of Education Jammu. The Mega yoga Camp was organized under the guidance and supervision of Principal Dr.(Prof.) Jyoti Parihar
The event was organized to raise awareness among students about the benefits of yoga. The female Staff and girl students practiced different asanas and learnt different methods of meditation.
The Program was conducted by Dr.HimaniBhyutal; Dr Sandeep Bhagat, Dr Chetan Singh (Medical officers Ayush) and their team Ishan Mansotra, Jyoti Bali and Sheetal Khajuria(Yoga Instructors). Dr.Himanibhutyal delivered a lecture on “Personal and Menstrual Hygiene. “ She explained in detail the Dos and Don’ts of Personal Hygiene, how to manage hygiene during periods. Queries by girl students related to this topic were clearly explained and answered by her.
In her address, Dr.(Prof.) Jyoti Parihar (Principal) highlighted the importance of Yoga and appreciated the team members of Ayush Department for organizing the event. She further said that the people have widely accepted the effectiveness of Yoga as a form of therapy.
Dr. Rajinder Kour (M.Ed Coordinator), Dr Shubhra Jamwal (Convener Women Development Cell), Prof. Sarita Dogra (NSS PO) , Prof Priyanka Mahajan organized the program.
