Doda, Dec 15: The Red Ribbon Club of GDC Kilhotran while continuing its series of events in connection with World AIDS Day organised a reel-making competition on Thursday with the theme “Equalise: Achieving Equality to End HIV”.
The students through online/virtual mode prepared audio-visual clips for less than one minute in which shared different viewpoints, concepts, ideas and initiatives required to be taken to end myths and misconceptions about this disease. More than fifteen students participated in the online competition which was judged by Dr Barket Ali (HOD Urdu), Prof Arshad Ayoub (HOD Political Science) and Prof Deepak Raj (HOD English).
The first, second, and third prizes for their gracious presentation were bagged by Mr Azhar Khan from Semester 1, Ms Saima Saleem from Semester 3 and Mr Waseem Ahmed from Semester 3 respectively.
The college principal Dr Javid Iqbal Zarger appreciated the efforts of the Convener Red Ribbon Club and its members for such creative involvement. The prizes were presented to students by Dr Barket Ali (HOD Botany), Dr Tanveer Hussain (HOD History) and Prof Chanchal Singh (HOD Education). The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof Majid Gani Zargar, convener Red Ribbon Club of the college.
