Srinagar, Aug 21: The student delegation of Government Boys High School Maloora, Srinagar Wednesday attended the book festival organized by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) at SKICC, Srinagar.
A group of 56 students from classes 9th and 10th attended the festival, accompanied by escort teachers Mr Mehraj Din Bhat, Mr. Tariq Ahmad Wagay, and Mr. Tanveer Alam.
The students enthusiastically explored a wide range of books showcased at nearly 200 stalls during the event.
This visit provided them with a valuable opportunity to engage with diverse literature, broadening their knowledge and deepening their appreciation for reading.
Additionally, the students had the chance to enjoy the natural beauty and serene surroundings of the famous Dal Lake, which enriched their experience and left them with cherished memories of the day.
The ongoing book festival, running from 17th August to 25th August 2024, offered our school a unique opportunity to participate today.
The school management extends its heartfelt appreciation to the escort teachers and students for their exemplary conduct, which contributed to the success of this outing.
They extended gratitude to Headmaster Mrs. Tahira for her unwavering support and guidance, which made our participation in this event possible. Special appreciation is due to Event Coordinator Mr. Nasir Sir for his meticulous planning and coordination, ensuring a smooth and well-organized process.
They thanked Goodword Publishers, New Delhi, for their generous distribution of Urdu and English translation copies of the Holy Quran to our students.
This gesture is deeply valued and will undoubtedly enrich the spiritual and educational journey of our students.
