Ganderbal Girls Shine in U-17 Football

Srinagar, April 30: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Ganderbal, continues to fuel the sporting spirit among school students by organising a series of competitive events across multiple zones of the district.
The Inter-Zone District Level Football Tournament for Girls U-17 culminated at BHS Shallabugh with a thrilling final clash between Zone Ganderbal and Zone Tullamulla. In a match filled with high energy and impressive teamwork, Zone Ganderbal emerged victorious with a 3–1 win, lifting the district title. Both teams were felicitated with trophies by officials from DYSS, acknowledging their exceptional display of talent and sportsmanship. In Zone Tullamulla, the U-17 Boys Handball tournament was held at BHSS Safapora, with 66 students competing. The final saw BHSS Lar defeat the host team in an exciting match. Both teams received trophies and applause for their spirited performance. Zone Kangan conducted its own Inter-School Handball competition at Kijpara Ground, where 80 boys showcased their skills. The final between SAPS Kangan and IRIS Kangan ended in a close win for SAPS Kangan. Notably, top performers were identified and shortlisted for the upcoming District level events.
