Srinagar, Jul 11: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and District Development Council (DDC) member, Er Aijaz Hussain, called on Member of Parliament (MP) Rajya Sabha and BJP National Executive Member, Ghulam Ali Khatana, to discuss ongoing organisational matters and to present a detailed report on recent outreach and service initiatives undertaken during the holy month of Muharram.During the meeting, Er Aijaz briefed Khatana about the extensive activities carried out under the BJP banner, especially in the Lal Chowk Constituency. He highlighted the series of Sabeel-e-Hussain (AS) stalls, free medical camps, and refreshment counters set up at various locations, including Khoshipora, Balhama, and Pandrethan. These efforts aimed to extend support and solidarity to the mourning Shia community, reflecting the party’s commitment to service, inclusivity, and grassroots outreach. The discussion also covered organisational feedback from ground-level workers, public response to BJP-led programs during Muharram, and suggestions from various units to further strengthen community engagement. Er Aijaz emphasised the importance of such outreach in reinforcing the party’s bond with all communities, particularly during religious occasions.Khatana appreciated Er Hussain and the entire BJP team in Lal Chowk for their dedication and tireless efforts. He said these initiatives resonate deeply with the party’s core philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.” The MP encouraged continued efforts to promote unity, brotherhood, and community service, especially during sensitive and significant religious periods. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to bolstering BJP’s organisational presence in Kashmir, nurturing harmony, and taking forward the message of peace and inclusive development.
