Jammu, March 25: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, is set to host ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’—an outreach and awareness programme—at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Jammu, on March 27 (Thursday) from 10:30 am onwards. The initiative aims to facilitate stakeholder engagement, address grievances, and enhance awareness of EPFO schemes and digital services.
The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, Jammu, Ajit Kumar Mishra, along with the District Nodal Officer, will personally hear grievances from workers, employers and industry representatives. The session will provide handholding support to employees and establishments requiring assistance with provident fund-related matters.
The programme will cover key aspects such as– filing grievances—guidance on submitting complaints via EPFiGMS, CPGRAMS and other grievance redressal portals, digital services and fraud prevention—educating stakeholders on e-nomination, online claim filing, KYC updates in UAN and Principal Employer Dashboard. The session will also focus on employee rights and employer responsibilities—ensuring compliance with social security provisions, including provident fund, pension and insurance benefits. The programme will also have a pension held desk—to resolve pension-related grievances on the spot. EPFO has urged subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employee representatives and industrial chambers to actively participate. Employers are encouraged to extend social security benefits to all eligible employees from the first day of employment.
The Employees’ Pension Scheme (1995) and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (1976), offering coverage up to Rs 7 lakh, have been available to workers in J&K and Ladakh since November 2019. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback and suggestions during the session to further improve EPFO’s services.
