Jammu, Jan 03: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has said that Apni Party will form the next Govt in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a joining programme here in which dozens of youth joined the party, the Former Minister said that the people are desperately waiting for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir as the LG administration has failed on ground to perform in the last four years.
“The people are feeling alienated in absence of an elected Govt because the bureaucracy has done nothing to redress grievances, and the developmental activities are at a very slow pace with no accountability,” he said.
He said that the authorities have not checked if the developmental projects which were initiated by the previous Govts have been completed or not. “As the accountability is nowhere in the administration, the people are made to suffer. The people submit their developmental demands before the concerned authorities yet their localities suffer because of no basic amenities like lanes, drains, electricity, and clean drinking water supply,” he said.
AAP leader said that among the most sufferers are the educated unemployed youth. “It is surprising to note that the recruitments post-August 5, 2019 have turned into major scams and the unemployed youth have become over aged with irregular recruitment processes. The vacant posts are not being advertised by the Govt and the recruitments whichever are being conducted face allegations of unfair selection process,” he said.
He demanded a probe into the selection processes but at the same time, the Govt must ensure the recruitment in different Govt departments and security forces can be conducted from time to time to generate employment opportunities.
Singh said that youth are mostly dependent upon the Govt jobs in J&K and these jobs have become most insecure for them.
“They prepare for the competition exams but these exams emerge as major scams. Hence, no one has trust on the present Govt,” he said and demanded that to restore the faith of the people, the holding of elections in J&K are must and the statehood must be restored without further delay.
