‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath’ event promotes green and clean Sopore

Baramulla, Oct 01: Sopore witnessed a remarkable demonstration of unity and community engagement during the ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath’ event, with collaborative efforts of key figures like MC President Musarat Kar, CEO MC Sopore Tariq Reshi and other community leaders.
The event showcased active participation from students representing local educational institutions and underscored the pivotal role of a green and clean environment through a massive cleanliness drive.
Municipal Council President Musarat Kar expressed heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders, emphasising the transformative power of collective action in nurturing a better society.
The event was also attended by ZEO Abdul Salam, BMO Dr Zulfikar Sofi, Welkin Patron Haji Anayatullah Hajini, Industrial President Javeed Bhat, Founder of Rahat NGO Ashiq Hussain Zaki, G N Kabali from Dawn NGO, Chairperson of Welkin Baseema Aijaz, representatives from Youth Services and Sports, Councilors, Social Forestry, R&B, and Mohammad Ismail Khurooo from Traders Federation Sopore.
ADC Sopore Shabir Ahmad Raina also graced the occasion, commending the MC Sopore for its “relentless efforts in organising the successful event”.
The students from diverse educational institutions actively participated in the event which commenced from the General Bus Stand, moved towards SDH Sopore, and culminated at the college grounds with a large-scale cleanliness drive. Enthusiastic students carried banners and chanted slogans advocating for a Go-Green initiative and a Neat and Clean Sopore.
Musarat Kar expressed her sincere appreciation to all stakeholders, underscoring the potency of collective action and the transformative potential of a unified voice. Emphasising the importance of ongoing efforts, she urged the people to dedicate their time from their daily routines to contribute to society’s betterment and cleanliness.
The MC Sopore extended her gratitude to all those who collaborated and acknowledged their pivotal role in the “grand success” of the event.
