Srinagar, Oct 01: Kashmir-based medico cum noted health columnist, Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo attended the Young Diabetes Education Workshop organized by SKIMS here on Saturday.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Dr Tasaduk said that SKIMS has been a medical institution par excellence with regard to patient care and management, besides proving to be a great example for medical education and research in Jammu and Kashmir during the current era.
While appreciating about the program, Dr Itoo said that it was a great educational session for young diabetic patients, including their caregivers and others.
He said that involving the diabetic patients in diabetes education is the need of the times as education plays a phenomenal role in self-care with regard to diabetes management.
“It was a great learning session with listening to highly informative lectures regarding diabetes care of some ace medico endocrinologists – like Professor Shariq Masoodi, Professor Riaz Ahmad Misgar including the panel discussion of a team of leading doctors,” he said.
“I would like to pay my greetings to all of them, particularly Professor Shariq Masoodi, whose efforts have been always phenomenal in promoting health education of the masses and in bringing revolution into the lives of patients”, he added.
