Srinagar, Dec 04: Professor (Dr.) Syed Sajjad Nazir, Head of the Department of Urology at GMC Srinagar, has achieved a monumental milestone by securing the first prize at the prestigious 34th North Zone Urological Society of India Conference (NZUSICON), held in Gurgaon, New Delhi.

The accolade was awarded for his groundbreaking and innovative laser technique for managing large, impacted upper ureteric stones, a pioneering advancement in urological surgery.

This novel technique, developed by Dr. Nazir and his expert team, represents a significant leap forward in the field of urology. By utilizing cutting-edge laser technology, the method offers a minimally invasive solution for patients suffering from large, impacted upper ureteric stones. Key benefits include reduced operative time, enhanced patient safety, and quicker recovery, making it a transformative advancement in urological care.
