Srinagar, Jan 17: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday paid obeisance at the revered Dargah of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) in Ajmer.
Accompanied by party’s Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmad Jan, Dr Abdullah offered prayers at the sacred shrine, the party said in a statement issued here.
During his visit, the NC chief prayed for peace and prosperity, specifically for the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. He also prayed for the innocent people of Palestine, beseeching relief from their hardships, the statement added.
Highlighting the significance of the spiritual guidance of Khawaja Sahib, Dr Farooq urged people to embrace the teachings and principles of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA).
