Anantnag, Jun 13: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr Darakhshah Andrabi on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 11 years in power have been a “golden era” and that the achievements during this time will be written in “Sunhare Alfaz” (golden letters).
Addressing media persons here, Andrabi said, “People have witnessed how the poor have benefited under his leadership; through welfare schemes, economic upliftment and the overall prosperity of the country.”
She said India is no longer a country that follows but one that leads. “The country whose economy is number one, that country dictates to others. Till today, we used to see other countries dictate to us. But today, you are seeing that we are economically at number four. And we have come to number one in science and technology,” she said.
The Waqf Board chairperson said the developments in infrastructure, social welfare, and other departments are numerous, and even books will be written about them. “The road network has expanded, connectivity has improved, and medical facilities have increased. There has been upliftment of the poor, houses for the poor, and jobs for the poor. No poor person sleeps hungry or lives without a roof overhead,” she added.
In short, from roads to science, from the moon to the sky – our country has reached new heights, Dr Andrabi said. “Even the enemy, before looking at us, thinks a thousand times. Modi ji has taken the country to a new level,” she added.
Meanwhile, according to a statement issued here, Dr Andrabi chaired a meeting with the Community of Professionals at Anantnag as part of the celebration of “Eleven Years of Excellence of Narendra Modi Ji Led Government”. The interactive session, organised by the BJP District Anantnag, was attended by senior party leaders and prominent professionals from various fields.
During the event, the BJP leader appreciated the professionals for their recognition of the schemes and programmes launched by the Modi government, which, she said, have led to significant societal transformation at the grassroots level across the country. “India is now globally recognised for its advancements in multiple sectors,” she said.
“A boost to innovation and technology has reshaped India’s destiny. Today, India is a new global hub for startups, mobile manufacturing, the auto industry, defence equipment, pharma industry, and many other sectors,” she added.
The Waqf Board chairperson said the past eleven years of the central government have not only been marked by a record of being free from corruption and scams but also by bold decisions made in the nation’s interest.
“Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas has ensured holistic growth and inclusive development. Transparency and inclusivity are the pillars that have elevated India to a prominent global economic and political power,” she said.
