Srinagar, Feb 14: On the solemn anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia reached the spot where, six years ago, 40 brave CRPF soldiers laid down their lives in one of the deadliest attacks on Indian soil.
With deep reverence, he lit diyas and showered flowers at the memorial, honoring the mar-tyrs whose sacrifice changed the course of history.
“February 14, 2019, was not just another day—it was a wound on the soul of our nation. The loss of our 40 warriors was unbearable, but their sacrifice awakened the country to the reality of terrorism and the urgent need for decisive action. This attack was a turning point that paved the way for the abrogation of Article 370,” he said.
Recalling the challenges that plagued Jammu and Kashmir for decades, he said, “For years, Article 370 gave terrorists a free hand, allowing them to spill the blood of innocents. But under the courageous leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, this shield of terror was dismantled. The abrogation of Article 370 was not just a political de-cision—it was a tribute to our fallen heroes and a promise that their sacrifice would not be in vain.”
As the flickering flames of the diyas illuminated the memorial, Dr. Jasrotia emphasized how much Kashmir has changed since then. “Today, the streets of Kashmir are no longer stained with blood but shine with the light of peace and progress. Fear has been replaced with hope, and violence with development.”
With a voice filled with determination, he sent a strong message to those who still conspire against India. “Our martyrs did not die in vain. Their blood has cemented the foundation of a stronger, safer, and more united India. We will never allow the enemies of peace to succeed. Our forces are vigilant, our spirit unbreakable, and our commitment to national security un-wavering.”
