DLSA Srinagar organises Megal Legal Services Awareness Camp at Miskeen Bagh, Khanyar

Srinagar, Nov 06: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar under the aegis of National Legal Service Authority and in collaboration with the District Administration Srinagar on Sunday organized a Mega Legal Services awareness Camp at Miskeen Bagh Khanyar, here.
The Camp was inaugurated by Noor Mohammed Mir, Secretary DLSA Srinagar in presence of Zahid Rashid, Assistant Director Handicraft Srinagar and Syed Gulzar Ahmed Shah, District Agricultural Extension Officer.
The aim of this camp was to effect paradigm shift from awareness to empowerment.
A total 06 stalls were installed by Horticulture, Agriculture, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Social Welfare Department, Handicraft and DLSA Srinagar highlighting different welfare schemes of their respective departments.
During the Camp, Chief Guest visited each stall and took firsthand stock of activities of each department and distributed wheel chair, hearing aid, marriage assistance to the beneficiaries sponsored by Social welfare Department, Khadi components by Horticulture Department, seeds and current vegetables by Agriculture Department, Financial assistance to Children of Artisan workers and Registration Certificate to the registered beneficiaries by Department of Handicraft besides legal aid was also provided in 15 cases by District Legal Services Authority Srinagar.
As many as 247 beneficiaries identified by various departments participated in this camp and 30 beneficiaries were provided on spot benefit under various schemes during this mega legal services camp.
The camp was attended by Abdul Bari, TSWO, M Maqbool, Horticulture Officer Zakura, Tanveer Zahid supervisor ICDS, LADC, Panel Lawyers, Para Legal Volunteer,& Staff of DLSA Srinagar,staff of various departments and large number of beneficiaries were also present on the occasion.
