District Kulgam Volleyball Championship kicks off

Kulgam, Nov 3: The District Kulgam Volleyball Association organized the District Volleyball Championship at Higher Secondary School Chowgam. Held under the aegis of the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, the championship featured 14 teams—8 in the boys’ section and 6 in the girls’ section.
Mohd Amin, Tehsildar of Chowgam, graced the event as the chief guest, lauding the association’s efforts in promoting sports among the youth. He especially commended Nelofer Habib, Secretary of the Kulgam Volleyball Association, for her dedication to empowering young athletes in the region. Other dignitaries present included Bashir Ahmed, Manager of Kulgam Stadium, Abdul Rehman, Principal of Higher Secondary School Chowgam, and Nelofer Habib herself.
In the boys’ section, the match results were as follows:
HSS Chowgam vs. Unique Spikees: Unique Spikees triumphed with a 3-1 victory (25-19, 25-15, 19-25, 25-21).
Outlaws vs. Kund Warriors: Kund Warriors secured a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-18, 26-24).
