Srinagar, Jan 18: The Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal on Thursday visited different areas of Srinagar District and inspected various under implementation works at Maloora, Bakhshipora, HMT and some other areas of Srinagar district. He took stock of different works that are under implementation in the district, under Holistic agriculture development program (HADP).
While having interactive meetings and giving instructions to the concerned officers, Director Agriculture asked them to strictly follow the guidelines for the implementation of different works. He asked them to speed up the process of Implementation of different under-implementation works, under holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and other centrally sponsored schemes so that they could be dedicated to the farmers.
Pertinently director visited many under implementation works including (hi tech polyhouses under the promotion of exotic vegetables project, low-cost polygreen houses under protected cultivation project, establishment of Mushroom units under another HADP project).
Director agriculture said that the completion of all these and other projects in these areas would give a boost to the agriculture scenario in the concerned areas and would contribute to the socio-economic transformation of the concerned farmer families.
Director agriculture was accompanied by chief agriculture officer Srinagar Manohar Lal Sharma and some other officers of the department.
