JAMMU, Mar 20: The Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Nalin Prabhat, chaired a security review meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir. Senior officers, including IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, range DIsG, and district SSsP, participated in the meeting, which focused on evaluating the current security landscape, counter-terrorism measures, crime control, and ongoing security operations.
The DGP stressed the need for improved coordination between districts to enhance intelligence sharing and operational efficiency. He instructed officers to remain vigilant, particularly in sensitive areas, and expedite investigations with strong legal follow-ups in UAPA cases.
The meeting also addressed the growing threat of narco-terrorism, with a directive to strengthen efforts against drug smuggling networks funding terrorism. The DGP concluded the meeting by reaffirming a zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and criminal activities, urging officers to remain alert and work cohesively.
