DDC Chairperson Budgam visits remote villages of Chadoora & Charar-i-Sharief

Budgam, July 18: Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan on Tuesday undertook a momentous visit to the far-flung villages of Hufroo, Loolipora, Darwan, Nengroo Colony, and Chararipora in the Chadoora and Char i Sharief areas. This visit was aimed at understanding the issues faced by the local communities and exploring avenues for comprehensive development in these regions.
The visit was marked by the presence of officials, including the Block Development Council (BDC) Nagam and Pakharpora, members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI). Their involvement underscored the commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of developmental schemes.
During the extensive tour, Chairman DDC Budgam empathetically listened to the grievances, concerns and aspirations of the residents of Hufroo, Loolipora, Darwan, Nengroo Colony and Chararipora villages.
Moreover, one of the highlights was the visit to the newly constructed high school building at Chalyan Choontinar. Chairman DDC Budgam expressed his appreciation for this significant development, recognizing the vital role of education in empowering the youth and uplifting the overall socio-economic status of the region. He pledged to continue supporting initiatives that enhance educational infrastructure in the district.
Chairperson Khan reaffirmed the DDC’s dedication to equitable development, promising the implementation of projects that positively impact the lives of the citizens residing in the remotest corners of Budgam. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and local representatives to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and efficient utilization of resources.
The visit concluded on a promising note, with the assurance from Chairman DDC Budgam that the issues raised during the meetings would be taken up with relevant authorities for prompt redressal. The collective resolve to work towards a prosperous and harmonious society was evident throughout the interactions, reinforcing the spirit of democracy and participatory governance.
