DC lays foundation stone of integrated sanitation & skill development facility at GMC

Doda, July 13: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today laid the foundation stone of a two-storey integrated facility near the OPD Block of Government Medical College (GMC) Doda.

A statement issued here said that the project, undertaken in collaboration with the Ladli Foundation and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) 2.0, will include public toilets for men, women and specially-abled persons on the ground floor. The first floor will house a skill development centre aimed at empowering local youth, particularly women.During the event, the DDC interacted with key stakeholders from the PWD (R&B) Department, Municipal Council Doda and the Health Department. He directed all departments to work in coordination and ensure timely completion of the project, adhering to quality standards.The DDC also announced that similar facilities are planned at Sub-District Hospitals in Bhaderwah and Gandoh.
