Kargil, Jan 23: At the DC Office Kargil, District Commissioner Shrikant Suse lauded the achievements of Thangtha Ladakh’s National Medallists during a ceremony. The players’ exemplary performance at the 29th Junior National Thangtha Championship earned them Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals, reflecting their exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
President of Thangtha Association Ladakh, Mudassir Wazir, and Coach Mohd Hassan joined the event, where DC Kargil expressed admiration for the athletes and extended best wishes for their upcoming participation in the Khelo India Youth Games in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Emphasizing Ladakh’s youth potential post-Union Territory status, Shrikant Suse encouraged the players to seize opportunities through hard work and dedication. Mudassir Wazir thanked DC Kargil for support, urging further assistance in expanding the association’s outreach across the district.
Also, DC Kargil flagged off Team Ladakh, led by Coach Mohd Hassan from the Horticulture Department, for the Khelo India Youth Games. This collaboration showcases a unique synergy between sports and the Horticulture Department, highlighting the diverse talents within the coaching staff.
