Srinagar, 10 Aug: The 132 Battalion of CRPF, stationed at Lal Chowk, organized a commendable initiative by holding a free medical camp as part of its Civic Action Program at the community hall of PS-Maisuma in Lal Chowk, Srinagar on Thursday.
The program was aimed at fostering confidence-building measures and strengthening police-public relations, this Civic Action Program medical camp was orchestrated to offer essential healthcare services to the underserved population.
Attendees were provided with comprehensive health check-ups, essential medications, medical advice, and complimentary medical kits during the event.
Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, IGP of Srinagar Sector CRPF, lauded the dedication of the 132 Bn CRPF during the program’s inauguration, expressing gratitude for their collaborative spirit.
Altaf Hussain, President of the Local Intizamiya Committee, Maisuma, also commended the proactive efforts and compassionate approach of the 132 Bn CRPF, who brought medical professionals and free medications directly to the local populace instead of them needing to access hospitals.
The event saw a significant turnout of around 318 local residents, who availed themselves of health check-ups and complimentary medicines throughout the day.
The remarkable contributions of Shri Ajay Kumar, IPS, IGP Srinagar Sector CRPF, Shri Mathew A John, DIGP Srinagar South, Ranjan Kumar Baruah, Commandant-132 Bn CRPF, alongside unit officers, received high praise from the attendees.
