CRPF Cup 2023 T20 Cricket Tournament: Quarterfinals unleash high-octane cricket battles

Srinagar, Oct 29: The Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium was ablaze with high-octane cricket battles as the quarterfinals of the CRPF Cup 2023 unfolded on Sunday, setting the stage for an epic showdown in the heart of Srinagar. The fervor and enthusiasm of both cricketers and spectators reached a fever pitch, creating an electric atmosphere as the tournament progresses toward the nail-biting semi-finals and finals.
Match 1st was palyed at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium (Ground A), where Kashmir Tigers Lal Chowk faced off against Cricket Team Gund. Kashmir Tigers Lal Chowk posted a formidable total of 149/3. Cricket Team Gund fought valiantly but managed 145/8. Kashmir Tigers Lal Chowk emerged victorious, winning by 7 wickets.
Man of the Match was given to Abid Nabi of Kashmir Tigers Lal Chowk, who scored a remarkable 32 runs in just 16 balls.
Match 2 was played at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium (Ground B where Azhar XI took on HMT Reds. Azhar XI posted a massive total of 200/8. HMT Reds could only muster 68/10. Azhar XI triumphed by a whopping 132 runs.
Man of the Match was given to Wasim Raza of Azhar XI, who played a blistering innings, scoring 39 runs in 23 balls.
Match 3 was played at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium (Ground B) where Kashmir Tigers Sonwar squared off against Redpora Cricket Club. Kashmir Tigers Sonwar set a target of 179/9. Redpora Cricket Club made a valiant effort but could only reach 130/10. Kashmir Tigers Sonwar emerged victorious by 41 runs.
Man of the Match was given to Ishfaq Shah of Kashmir Tigers Sonwar, who showcased an impressive performance with 65 runs in 47 balls.
Match 4 was played at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium (Ground A) where MLA Gymkhana Budgam faced JKP Eleven. MLA Gymkhana Budgam posted a score of 139/9. JKP Eleven managed 100/10 in response. MLA Gymkhana Budgam claimed victory, winning by 39 runs.
Man of the Match was given to Junaid Bashir of MLA Gymkhana Budgam, who contributed 21 runs in 19 balls and took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
These exhilarating contests featured top-notch performances by cricketers and showcased their resilience under pressure. Each match had its own share of excitement, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.
All matches played today were streamed live on Instagram, allowing fans from all around to witness the gripping action.
The stage is now set for the semi-finals, scheduled to be held tomorrow at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium. The response to the CRPF Cup 2023 has been nothing short of amazing, with the anticipation for the upcoming matches reaching a fever pitch.
