Srinagar, Oct 25: The highly anticipated CRPF Cup 2023 T20 Cricket Tournament commenced with a spectacular opening ceremony held at the iconic Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar on Wednesday. The event, inaugurated by Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Special DG CRPF, marked the beginning of an exhilarating cricket extravaganza in the region. The grand ceremony, attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Nalin Prabat, ADG J&K Zone CRPF, Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF, and Commandants of Srinagar Sector, ignited the passion of cricket enthusiasts, promising an unforgettable sporting event.
The CRPF Cup 2023, organized by Srinagar Sector CRPF as part of the Civic Action Plan, is set to feature a total of 20 teams hailing from various regions, including downtown Srinagar, uptown Srinagar, Budgam, and Ganderbal. This prestigious tournament guarantees an action-packed cricket experience, catering to both ardent fans and skilled players.
The third day of the CRPF Cup 2023 T20 Cricket Tournament witnessed a thrilling lineup of seven matches held at multiple venues, including Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium (both grounds), SP College, and Kashmir University. The day was highlighted by the tournament’s first century, achieved by Zamil Nazir of Redpora Cricket Club in a victorious effort at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.
