Constitutional Day: KAA creates history with first-ever collective pledge on Law Day

Srinagar, Nov 25: In a historic event held at the Common Bar room in the Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar Bench, the Kashmir Advocate’s Association (KAA) orchestrated a significant gathering to mark the celebration of Law Day. 
Led by Waseem Gul, President of KAA, the function witnessed the active participation of prominent legal figures, including Mubashir Majid Malik, Vice President of KAA, and Jeetender Singh, General Secretary of KAA.
The distinguished guests present included Deputy Solicitor General of India T M Shamsi, Senior Additional Advocate General of J&K High Court & Retired District & Sessions Judge Abdul Rashid Malik, Director Litigation Kashmir Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, and Adv Farooq Ahmad Ganie, President of Dooru Bar Association.
A two-minute silence was observed to pay homage to the martyrs of 26/11. This poignant gesture served as a reminder of the sacrifices made for the cause of justice and the rule of law.
In his address, Waseem Gul, President of Kashmir Advocate’s Association, emphasised the crucial role of legal professionals in safeguarding justice and the constitutional framework. The gathering resonated with a shared dedication to the principles enshrined in the Constitution.
Later, the atmosphere was charged with patriotic fervor, culminating in the singing of the national anthem. The entire assembly stood united, reinforcing their allegiance to the nation and its legal foundations.
 
 
Constitutional Day celebrated in Srinagar High Court 
On Indian Constitutional Day, Senior Additional Advocate General (AAG) of the High Court, Mohsin Qadri, issued a directive for all law officers and lawyers in the High Court of Srinagar to take a pledge under the preamble of the Indian Constitution. The pledge ceremony was organised by Mohsin Qadri Sr. AAG at the High Court premises, sending a resounding message to both the nation and the international community. This collective action demonstrates the unwavering determination of lawyers in the valley to uphold constitutional values and stand firm in support of the rule of law in the country.
