Srinagar, Mar 09: Senior Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Ghulam Nabi Monga on Saturday underscored the party’s commitment to addressing unemployment as a top priority once in power.
Addressing a press conference at the Srinagar Party Office, Monga, while referring to five guarantees assured by Rahul Gandhi during his ongoing Bharat Jodo Nayav Yatra, said Congress promises to tackle the issue head-on and plans to create 30 lakh job opportunities for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
He said the party aims to support graduates and diploma holders by providing them with an annual stipend of Rs 1 lakh. Monga emphasized the need for increased transparency in government processes, particularly in light of recent paper leaking incidents, and vowed to implement stringent laws to ensure fairness in all government exams.
Highlighting Congress’s strong foothold in Jammu & Kashmir, Monga reiterated the party’s “track record of success” in both assembly and parliamentary elections.
“At times, the Congress has formed coalitions with other parties but its focus has always been on the development of the union territory,” he said.
With these pledges and commitments, the JKPCC leader expressed confidence in the Congress Party’s “ability to address the pressing issues and to lead the country towards a brighter future”.
