Ganderbal, Mar 27: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday to offer his condolences to the family of BJP leader and former MLA of Gurez, Faqir Mohammad Khan.
Khan, who was found dead earlier this month at his official residence in Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar, allegedly died by suicide. His sudden passing sent shockwaves through political circles across the region.
During his visit to Wudder Kangan, CM Abdullah met with Khan’s grieving family, expressing his heartfelt sympathy and solidarity. He assured the family of full support during this difficult period. The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Gurez Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi, MLA Kangan Mian Mehraj, and his advisor Nasir Aslam Wani.
Several political leaders, including former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and prominent BJP figures, have already visited Wudder Kangan to offer their condolences to the bereaved family.
