Awantipora, May 30: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) –IUST Foundation organized a thought-provoking session on Entrepreneurial Leadership at Campus-III of the Islamic University of Science and Technology. The event featured Mr. Bharat Wakhlo, Co-Founder of the Foundation for Peace and Compassionate Leadership, as the key resource person. In his address, Mr. Wakhlo offered invaluable insights into cultivating entrepreneurial leadership qualities, aimed at inspiring students and budding entrepreneurs to embrace dynamic and purpose-driven leadership.
The session was formally inaugurated by Prof. Parvaiz A Mir, Director, CIED-IUST, and was attended by Mr. Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer IUST, members of the Foundation, and students from the School of Business Studies. The program fostered an engaging and interactive atmosphere, marked by a robust exchange of ideas and questions between the participants and Mr. Wakhlo. Mr. Wakhlo emphasized the importance of mastering the self to build resilience and clarity, developing a strong and clear vision supported by sound execution skills, and embracing failure as a learning process. He also advocated for a human-centric approach to entrepreneurship—one that begins with understanding and addressing the real needs of people.
Prof. Mir said that such initiative underscores the CIED-IUST Foundation’s ongoing commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and shaping future leaders capable of addressing real-world challenges with empathy and innovation.
