Srinagar, Oct 24: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Tuesday said that the party will reverse the decision to discontinue of Darbar Move on a priority basis if elected to power.
Bukhari in a statement said, “Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party fully backs the legitimate demand of the people of Jammu seeking reversal of the decision regarding the discontinuation of the ‘Darbar Move’ decision. Let this be put on record that the Apni Party will take this matter on priority once elected to power.”
“The age-old tradition of Darbar Move was nullified by the present J&K dispensation led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, citing the unnecessary burden on the state exchequer. However the decision drew severe criticism from the people of Jammu who demand immediate restoration of this tradition,” the party statement said.
