Jammu, Aug 29: Top IT professionals from across the country have taken charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘war room’ at a Jammu hotel.
These professionals, who are part of the BJP’s core IT team, are deployed in different states and union territories during elections, particularly during assembly elections, sources informed Rising Kashmir.
They added, “In the ‘war room,’ these experts will monitor the opposition’s misinformation campaigns and develop strategies to counter them, working closely with the BJP’s special IT team in Delhi, which oversees such activities nationwide.”
Sources said the IT professionals stationed in Jammu come from various states, including Jammu & Kashmir. The ‘war room’ has been equipped with high-speed internet connectivity to facilitate monitoring of “misinformation” as well as the political campaigns of both the BJP and opposition parties.
“Information gathered by the ‘war room’ about the opposition’s campaigns will be communicated to the BJP high command and the party’s contesting candidates,” they said. “The IT professionals will collect data on each assembly constituency in J&K, focusing on developmental needs, long-standing issues and specific demands from the local populace. This information will be relayed to the party’s leadership and the candidates in the field.”
The feedback collected will also be provided to BJP’s star campaigners, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari among others.
