Other star campaigners Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath, Smriti Irani to push full might in 2nd & 3rd phase
JAMMU, Sept 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its campaign efforts for the upcoming first and second phases of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent rally in Doda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to address three rallies tomorrow, covering Ramban, Kishtwar, and Padder districts. Sources within the party revealed that following Shah’s visit to the Jammu region, a series of BJP’s top campaigners will descend on Jammu and Kashmir. National President JP Nadda is scheduled to visit on September 20th, followed by senior leaders such as Smriti Irani, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
In the first phase, 24 assembly constituencies will go to the polls, while the second phase will cover 26 seats. The third phase, slated for later, will witness elections in 40 seats, including key constituencies in Jammu Province, considered a BJP stronghold.
The BJP’s strategy includes intense campaigning by the party’s star leaders during the third phase, with PM Modi, Amit Shah, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, JP Nadda, and other prominent figures expected to participate. The party is concentrating its efforts on securing the 40 seats in Jammu Province, which have consistently favored the BJP in previous elections.
As part of his visit to Jammu on September 20, JP Nadda will meet with senior party leaders to gather feedback on the campaign’s progress.
Nadda will also engage with intellectuals and lead a roadshow in Jammu, underscoring the BJP’s determination to solidify its position ahead of the third phase.
