Jammu, June 04: The Jammu and Kashmir State Bharat Scouts and Guides conducted the Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp 2025 and Tritiya Sopan Camp at the Trekking Base Camp, Patnitop, from May 31 to June 4. A total of 112 Scouts and Guides from the districts of Jammu, Doda, Kathua, Samba, and Udhampur participated in the camps.
The event was inaugurated by the Warden of the Trekking Base Camp, Department of Youth Services and Sports, Government of J&K. Both camps were conducted in accordance with APRO II and APRO III guidelines by staff members from the State Headquarters, Jammu.
The camp was held under the overall supervision of S. Rajinder Singh Tara, JKAS (State Chief Commissioner, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides) and Nasreen Khan (State Secretary-cum-Administrative Officer, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides). In addition to training and testing sessions, a cleanliness drive was also organised at Patnitop during the camp, reflecting the Scouts and Guides’ commitment to environmental stewardship. The camps were effectively conducted by Manjeet Kour (JSTC), K. L. Sharma (HQ Commissioner, Accounts Officer), Neeru Talwar (ALT), Haroon Malik (HWB), and other invited staff members, Scout Masters and Guide Captains.
