Atal Dulloo takes stock of the readiness of Jammu Legislative Assembly Complex

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 07: Ahead of the scheduled Assembly polls in the UT, Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, today visited the Legislative Assembly Complex Jammu to review the progress of upgradation and renovation works.

During the visit, Secretary R&B; Secretary Legislative Assembly; Director Estates Jammu; Chief Engineer, Jammu along with engineering staff remained present on the occasion.

During his visit to the Complex, Director Estates briefed the Chief Secretary about the progress of various components and the timeline for its completion.

While reviewing the progress, Atal Dulloo impressed upon the officers that work must progress in full swing without any delays to complete it on time.

Dulloo visited different sections of this complex to take first hand appraisal of the progress made in renovating different sections including the Chamber of the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, library and other areas. He urged upon the Estates department to complete the upgradation works in all respects.

He also emphasised upon ensuring the operational readiness of sound systems, internet connectivity, furnishings and overall façade improvement of the complex.

He also took this occasion to visit the nearby MLA hostel to take stock of the improvements made there. He called for provisioning of requisite facilities in the hostel complex.

He took the round of the complex and urged the executing agencies to create all amenities for safe stay of the legislators there.

Director Estates, Jammu, Tariq Ahmad Ganai apprised the Chief Secretary that the upgradation works on both the Complexes is in full swing. He said that these works are being monitored regularly and will be completed very soon.
