Srinagar, Aug 01: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Manifesto Committee, under the leadership of Co-Chairman G N Monga on Thursday held a crucial meeting at the party’s Srinagar office.
The committee, according to the party statement issued here, is actively working on preparing a comprehensive manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The committee engaged in thorough discussions on various issues of public importance that demand immediate attention in the party’s manifesto.
“Members are actively consulting with all stakeholders to gather feedback on urgent needs and requirements of the people. The committee aims to include specific guarantees in the manifesto to address the concerns of the populace,” the party said.
Monga, who presided over the meeting, emphasised the importance of swift action, urging committee members to complete their assigned tasks within days. “We are committed to delivering a people’s manifesto that will guarantee the resolution of all genuine issues,” he said.
The JKPCC said the committee is focused on preparing a draft of the “people’s manifesto” at the earliest, which will be submitted to the Party High Command for finalisation.
The notable attendees at the meeting included Haji Abdul Gani Khan, Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, Irfan Naqib, Waseem Ahmad Shalla, Firdous Ahmad Wani, Master Mohammad Maqbool, and Dr Audil Farooq Mir Lasjan, the party said.
