Jammu, July 23: Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit has geared up under the directive of the party high command.
The party has outlined extensive public outreach programs across all assembly segments in the UT.
The BJP has tasked its seven Morchas—Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Mahila Morcha, SC and ST Morcha, Kissan Morcha, among others—with organising ‘sammelans’, public outreach programmes and nukkad meetings in each of the 90 assembly segments in J&K, the party’s Seh Prabhari, Munish Khajuria informed Rising Kashmir. He said these initiatives are slated to be completed by the end of this month.
Following the execution of these programmes, comprehensive reports will be submitted to the party high command for review and further action, Khajuria said.
He said the Morcha leaders have been instructed to engage directly with the public, highlight the welfare schemes of the Modi government and showcase the achievements of the Central government.
Furthermore, special training sessions have been conducted for all seven Morcha leaders to effectively communicate with residents in each assembly segment of J&K.
The Union Territory comprises 90 assembly segments, with 43 in Jammu and 47 in Kashmir.
