The Chief Minister of Utter Pradesh (UP), Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday said that Article 370 was the root cause of terrorism in (J&K) which has been abrogated by the Modi Government adding that no government in last 70 years dared to take this bold decision (abrogating Article 370).

This was stated by the Chief Minister of the largest State of India, Yogi Adityanath, while addressing a rally at Jam packed Sports Stadium at Kathua.

“If there is a decisive and good government anything can be done,” he said, while highlighting the achievements of Modi Government.

“Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi uprooted terrorism in J&K by abrogating Article 370,” Yogi said, while adding, “Article 370 was the root cause of terrorism and Separatism in J&K”.

Now, there is peace here in J&K and development is taking place all around, he said. “No government in the last 70 years dared to take this decision (removing Article 370) but I salute both PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for abrogating Article 370,” Yogi added.

Earlier, people were afraid of calling themselves as Hindus and taking the name of Ayodhya, he said, adding, “Now, in the last 10 years, everything has changed.”

He added, “Now, there is Ram Temple at Ayodhya and we also have a Kashi Vishwanath Dham”. Yogi said, “This all proves that if you have a strong, good and decisive government, everything can be done and the wait of 500 years old could also be brought to an end.

By referring to 500 year old wait, Yogi was referring to Ram Temple at Ayodhya. The policies of Modi Government have made India the 5th largest economy of the world, he said.

In last 10 years of Modi Government, 60 cr people are getting benefit under Ayushman Bharat Yozna, 80 cr people are getting free ration, 12 cr people got toilets, 4 cr people got house and 25 cr people got power for the first time, while 10 cr people benefitted under Ujjwala Yozna, Yogi said.

Earlier, Yogi started his address by saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, Baba Barfani ki Jai and ‘Bol Sanche Darbar Ki Jai (Maa Vaishno Devi)’.

He said Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee laid down his life for the cause of J&K. He also raised slogan, ‘Jahan Huay Balidan Mukherjee Who Kashmir Hamara Hai’.

Yogi also recalled General Zorawar Singh and his supreme sacrifice. Amid address of Yogi, the people in the jam packed stadium continuously raised slogans, ‘Jai Shree Ram-Jai Shri Ram’.

Yogi urged the people to vote for BJP candidate Dr Jitendra Singh so that PM Modi forms Government for the third consecutive time.
