Srinagar, Mar 19: Apni Party’s Provincial President, Mohammad Ashraf Mir on Wednesday voiced deep concern over the government’s recent decision to remove four crucial surgical procedures from the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme.
“The move has left many patients without access to essential medical care,” Mir said in a statement issued here.
Notably, the government has reportedly delisted these surgeries from private hospital coverage, restricting them exclusively to government-run healthcare facilities—a decision that has sparked distress among beneficiaries.
Expressing his concern over this decision, Mir took to X, stating: “Golden Card beneficiaries in distress! Recent modifications in healthcare schemes are leaving many without access to vital medical care. Urging authorities to reconsider the order and ensure the vulnerable aren’t left behind.”
