The event was marked by heartfelt speeches, nostalgic reflections, and forward-looking discussions on the university’s future initiatives.
Dr Wasim Bari, I/C Dean Outreach at IUST, opened the event with a warm welcome address, expressing deep gratitude to the alumni for their unwavering support and contributions to the university’s growth and success. He highlighted the significance of their involvement in shaping the future of IUST.
Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice-Chancellor of IUST and President of the Alumni Association of IUST (AAIUST), was the Chief Guest of the event. In his keynote speech, he highlighted the critical role of the alumni community in the institution’s development.
“Our alumni are a testament to the values and education we provide, and it is heartening to see their achievements and dedication to their communities and professions,” he said.
The event attracted many notable alumni, both nationally and internationally, showcasing the widespread influence and success of IUST graduates. The Vice-Chancellor expressed his pride in their accomplishments and reiterated the university’s commitment to fostering a strong, supportive alumni network.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr Asifa M Baba. Following the formalities, attendees enjoyed a lunch, providing further opportunities for networking and reminiscing.
