Srinagar, Jan 14: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed sorrow over the demise of Raja Jehangir Khan, a widely respected social figure and prominent lawyer, who passed away at his residence in Kathi Darwaza, Srinagar, on Monday night.
In his condolence message, he said, “I am saddened to hear about the passing of Raja Jehangir Khan, who left for his heavenly abode on Monday night. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon. May the Almighty grant him the highest place in Jannah. Raja Sahib was a highly respected personality and a prominent social figure. He also earned a distinguished reputation as a successful lawyer, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and service.”
He added, “In this hour of grief, I stand in solidarity with the entire Raja family, especially his brothers, Raja Alamgir and Raja Tasleem, and his son, Raja Sajid. I pray to the Almighty to grant them the strength to endure the pain of this profound loss.”
Bukhari also expressed profound grief over the demise of Mohammad Fareed Khan, a resident of Bijhama in north Kashmir’s Uri. In his condolence message, he described the death as a personal loss, stating that he had a long-standing acquaintance with the late Khan. He expressed heartfelt sympathy with Mohammad Fareed Khan’s bereaved family.
The Apni Party chief also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the death of at least five persons in a tragic road accident in Kargil. He wrote on his X handle, “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of at least five lives in an accident in the Shilikchey area of Kargil, where a Scorpio and a tipper collided head-on, causing both vehicles to plunge into a deep gorge. The death of five locals has been confirmed, while two non-locals are reported to be in critical condition.”
“My heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of the victims. This is an immense loss, and no words of solace can ease the pain of the loved ones of the deceased. May the Almighty grant them eternal peace. My thoughts and prayers are also with the two injured persons, wishing them a swift and complete recovery,” he added.
