He explained the history and protection of human rights under International Human Rights Law. “This global crisis has been fuelled by deepening poverty, rising inequalities, structural and entrenched discrimination and other gaps in human rights protection. Only measures to close these gaps and advance human rights can ensure we fully recover to a world that is better and more resilient, just and sustainable,” he said.
International Human Rights Day is observed on December 10 annually. The main aim behind celebrating this day is to improve the physical, social, cultural and spiritual well-being and welfare of the vulnerable group of people globally.
