Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Head of Police Ladakh Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal visited the border areas in Eastern Ladakh and lauded the security personnel for their high spirits and commitment.
“This was my first visit to Eastern Ladakh. Approx 1.5 months back, I took over as Head of Police Ladakh. The police and senior formations two SSPs and others were there. Our main aim of the visit was to familiarise ourselves with the area and meet people.
We examined their situation, and in what situation they are living. Took an overall view is the security setup as good and how we can strengthen the security. As this area is very tough” ADGP Jamwal said.
He further interacted with ITBP and Army personnel deployed at these locations and lauded the security personnel for their high spirits and commitment to duties in these extremely tough conditions.
“Overall my reading of that area is that our security forces are committed to duties in these extremely tough conditions. As the weather is very challenging in these areas,” he said. (ANI)
