Jammu, March 11: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K Anand Jain, accompanied by DIG IR Sarah Rizvi and Rajinder Singh SSP APCR Jammu, Tuesday visited IRP-22nd Battalion and its company headquarters in Kishtwar to assess its operational efficiency and infrastructure.
On arrival, ADGP Jain was accorded a Guard of Honour by a contingent of IRP-22nd Battalion. He conducted a thorough inspection of all battalion establishments, including the administrative block, barracks, mess, armoury (Kot), MT fleet, canteens, and stores.
A darbar was held, where ADGP Jain addressed the personnel, stressing the importance of discipline, punctuality, and physical fitness. He directed officers to ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the complex through regular cleanliness drives. He also instructed the battalion commandant to conduct medical examinations for all personnel to improve their health and well-being.
ADGP Jain urged officers to restart physical training (PT), refresher courses, and outdoor training sessions to ensure personnel remain physically fit and prepared for challenging situations. He also called for the introduction of a structured sports roster, allowing personnel to nurture their talents and develop a sense of responsibility. Encouraging modernisation, ADGP Jain advised officers to implement E-Office systems to streamline office procedures, establish a digital workplace, and minimise paperwork. Sarah Rizvi, DIG IR, reinforced the importance of commitment to duty and adherence to training curricula for refresher courses. Among the senior officers present during the visit were Javid Iqbal, SSP Kishtwar, Mushim Ahmad, SSP, Commandant IR-22nd Bn, and other officials.
