Jammu, Jun 15: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have welcomed the decision of the party’s lone MLA in Jammu and Kashmir, Mehraj Malik, to withdraw support from the National Conference-led government.
Malik said his decision was taken keeping in mind the welfare and development of the people in his constituency. He said, “My priority is the well-being and development of my people.”
Reacting to this move, AAP’s youth president from Samba district, Shubham Singh, criticised the National Conference government, saying the party had forgotten the promises made to the public.
“We had extended support to the National Conference for the development of the people, but this government has now become a puppet of the BJP,” Singh alleged.
He added, “The entire AAP stands firmly with MLA Mehraj Malik and supports his every decision in the fight for the rights of the people.”
