Doda, May 15: Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), accompanied by high-ranking officers, conducted an extensive tour of District Doda to inspect administrative operations and ensure the smooth conduct of ongoing annual examinations for HSP-I (11th Class) in designated hard zone areas.
The visit aligns with the mission of the Union Territory administration under the leadership of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Kumar Sinha to enhance educational standards and infrastructure.
Prof. Manhas received a warm welcome from the officers and officials at the Branch Office in Bhaderwah. He reviewed the office’s functioning and encouraged the staff to work with enthusiasm and dedication.
During the tour, Prof. Manhas visited examination centers in the hilly terrains of Bhaderwah to assess the arrangements for the exams. At the Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Bhalra, located at an altitude of around 6,000 feet and established in the 1940s, he observed the examination process. The Chairman and his team checked admit cards and attendance sheets, ensuring compliance with the examination protocols.
Further, Prof. Manhas visited the Government HSS Sartingal, where he inspected seating arrangements, availability of potable water, lighting, stationery, and other facilities. He instructed the staff, including invigilators and supervisors, to adhere strictly to the examination code of conduct and maintain vigilance to prevent malpractice.
“The staff, including teachers not engaged in exam duty, should stay away from the examination centers. Supervisory staff must ensure the fair conduct of examinations and maintain proper vigilance,” Prof. Manhas stated.
Addressing the examinees, Prof. Manhas advised them not to panic and to perform to the best of their abilities, emphasizing preparation for future exams without undue pressure on results.
This inspection tour is part of a broader initiative to ensure that educational practices in remote and challenging areas meet high standards, thereby supporting the overall development and integrity of the examination process in Jammu and Kashmir
