DPS Srinagar celebrates 3rd Founder’s Day with enthusiasm

Srinagar, May 10:Delhi Public School (DPS) celebrated its Third Founder’s Day on Friday at the Indoor Stadium. The occasion was dedicated to honouring the birth anniversary of D.P Dhar and commemorating the founding of the esteemed institution.
The festivities began with a captivating array of performances, including lively presentations by the students. The event was graced by esteemed guests of honour, including Vijay Dhar, Kiran Dhar, and Vikas Dhar.
The day commenced with the melodious rendition of Morning Prayer by the school choir, followed by a scintillating musical performance by the Primary Department, which captivated the audience. Next, Vijay Dhar delivered an inspiring speech, sharing insights into the founder’s vision and the institution’s journey towards academic excellence. Speaking to the audience, he said, “DPS Srinagar’s legacy of nurturing talent and fostering holistic development among student is unparalleled in both its longevity and excellence. We are honour bound to enrich and strengthen this legacy further.”
A diverse range of cultural programs highlighted the event, showcasing the talents of students from various departments. Engaging music and dance performances by the Primary & Middle department students, along with a spirited Folk fusion and Instrumental performances by seniors, added colour to the celebration. Mir. M Mujeed from the LRC Department enthralled the audience with his excellent recitation of a poem and received a standing ovation.
The event also recognized the dedication and commitment of staff members who have completed 20 years of service. They were honoured with awards of gratitude, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the school’s success.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Shafaq Afshan said, “The Third Founder’s Day celebration at DPS Srinagar is a testament to our institution’s commitment to excellence, fostering talent, and honoring its rich heritage. We are delighted at being able to accomplish yet another Founder’s Day and pray that we may celebrate it for all years to come.”
