Srinagar, April 06: In commemoration of World Health Day 2024, a program was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine SKIMS at Hajin, a field practice area of the department.
The program focused on the imperative need to enhance healthcare systems in alignment with this year’s theme, “My Health, My Right.”
The event commenced with an opening address by the Block Medical Officer, Hajin, who highlighted the importance of this year’s theme. Dr. Javid Ahmed, Additional Professor of Community Medicine at SKIMS in his address underscored the importance of fortifying the primary healthcare system within the block, emphasizing actionable strategies.
Doctors from the Department of Community Medicine(Social & Preventive Medicine),SKIMS delivered a comprehensive presentation, elucidating the nuances of this year’s theme and its relevance, captivating the audience with simplified explanations.
Concluding the event, Dr. Fahd Bukhari, a third-year Postgraduate of the Department of Community Medicine in his presentation emphasized the imperative nature of implementing various national health programs at the grassroots level, ensuring the fulfillment of primary healthcare essentials. The department’s significant contributions to the block were also shared with the audience.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, followed by the distribution of informative handouts related to the event among the participants, fostering greater awareness and understanding.
